Ana Falceta is an abstract artist, living and working in Burlington, Canada.

Ana Falceta is a contemporary textile, mixed-media artist based in Burlington, Ontario. She holds a BA in Textile Design from Sheridan College, Canada.

With a background in hand bookbinding and mixed media, Ana explores the relationship between surface and texture.

She works with watercolour pigments on paper and combines ink, textiles, and handicrafts like weaving, embroidery, and bookbinding stitches as mark-making tools to implement texture.

Her 2D abstract compositions are inspired by landscape satellite and aerial imagery. In a hybrid and varied way, Ana uses old hand stitch practices and textiles to address the encounter of the traditional and the contemporary.
